2/4/2024 0 Comments Cl eye driver ps3 camera![]() I'd also suggest that if at all possible you try testing the camera on another PC - Sometimes these sort of bugs manifest on a single machine due to an odd set of circumstances which are very hard to determine. The old webcam code used a simpler way of setting up DirectShow than the current versions of SharpCap and might just behave differently. What I will suggest is that you should try installing an old version of SharpCap (version 1.5.X) and see if you get better results in that using the 'Direct Show (old code)' version of the camera in the Cameras menu. When it mostly works but is glitchy - as in your case - it's very difficult to deal with When it fails completely you often get an error code from DirectShow and maybe you can work out why and fix it. DirectShow does all the talking to the webcam driver, grabbing frames, displaying them, saving them to AVI, etc. ![]() Well, it's kind of hard to say what's going to be the cause - with WebCams, SharpCap (and other capture software) doesn't actually have to do a great deal of the work itself - it just orders the DirectShow framework around - tells it which device to connect to, which window to show the preview to, which file to save to and lets DirectShow get on with it. I've installed the latest CL Eye driver and the preview in Sharpcap works fine. Could it be that the camera isn't saving the data as avi? I run a Quickcam 4000 on a very old laptop and don't have these problems. avi when I first tried to open it, so it would open in those players. It happens when I try to play the vids in Window Media Player or VLC. I've tried lower frame rates and resolutions and I have the same problem every time. ![]() I'm using Sharpcap to record, but i have this problem on Craterlet as well. I have been working on a driver for the PlayStation Eye Camera and the first beta release is now available on github Happily there were lots of open source projects out there that were of great help, including the PS3 Eye Linux driver. The computer is an 8 core, 8gb DDR3 RAM, Windows 7 (64 bit) desktop so I would've thought it would handle it. This happens at 10fps which is quite low. The best way to explain it is the files appear very speeded up and don't last as long as originally recorded. Two modes allow basic compatibility mode and a advanced mode for high frame rate development use. I've done some test vids and when I've tried to play them back they're very choppy, like they're missing frames yet the right frame number appears in registax. The CL Eye Platform Driver provides users a signed hardware driver which exposes supported cameras to third party applications such as Adobe Flash, Skype, MSN or Yahoo for video chat or conferencing. I've not modded it yet, I'm just trying to get it working generally. The sleeve is easily applied and removed, sliding on/off of the lense.Hi, I have a Playstation 3 Eye webcam that I am testing for astro use. ![]() I expect the performance to increase significantly. This is with the FLAT lense "Bad" camera mind you. My current settings are: Min Size: 2.5, Max Size 6.0, Brightness: 15/255, Gain: 12, and Exposure: 200. Even bright lights can be overcome with some tuning in opentrack. I clamped it (WITH A FILM OVER THE LENSE FOR PROTECTION!!!) while it set/dried and it worked like a charm. It filters out wavelengths under 1K nm I believe. Inside this lip I carefully set and superglued a 1" diameter Edmunds Optics plastic infared long pass filter that I got on eBay for $3. I cleaned the entire rubber piece with rubbing alcohol to remove dust and debris. Then I used a Dremel tool with a sanding bit to create a 1" lip. I drilled/cut a 7/8 hole in the center for the lense (at this point you can look through it like a pipe). The bottom, once flat, will be about 1-1/4" because it tapers. I then cut off the convex bottom (the part that would go on the floor) and sanded it flat. I cut off ~ 1/4 inch from the length of the tube off the end in which you would place the leg of the chair. They sell them in a 4 pack for a few bucks. I went to Home Depot and bought a 7/8" (NOT the 1") rubber bottom for a chair. I tried using floppy disk film, clear plastic colored black, and stacking lenses but nothing worked better than this for blocking unwanted light and ease of use. I decided making a sleeve for my PS3 eye camera would be best. PS3 Camera IR Longpass Filter and Removable Rubber Sleeve
